A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on 21 March 2025, between the Green Bhutan Corporation Limited (GBCL) and the Rural Development Training Centre (RDTC), Department of Workforce Planning and Skills Development, Ministry of Education and Skills Development, aiming to enhance practical training opportunities for trainees pursuing careers in landscape development. Under this agreement, RDTC trainees will gain hands-on experience in real-world projects managed by GBCL, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
The MoU provides a structured training program that the trainees would participate in current landscaping projects, acquiring insights into modern techniques, project management, and sustainable practices. GBCL will provide mentorship, supervision, and hands-on learning opportunities to ensure that trainees develop competencies that meet industry standards.
This initiative aligns with the broader objectives of the ministry in promoting vocational training and skill enhancement, ultimately contributing to the national agenda of youth empowerment and employment creation.
This collaboration is expected to elevate the quality of services in the landscaping sector while promoting cultural understanding and academic cooperation between the two agencies.
